Dan Henry 1975 Skin Diver Automatic Instructions Miyota 9015
September 1, 2022
Your Dan Henry 1975 skin diver is powered by a premium automatic Miyota 9015 movement, a precise and slim high beat mechanism with 28.800 vph (vibrations per hour) and 24 jewels made in Japan by Citizen.
An automatic movement is often referred to as “self-winding.” Automatic movements harness energy through the natural motion of your wrist. No battery is necessary.
The power reserve of the Miyota 9015 is 38 hours, so if worn every day, your watch will not need to be hand-wound. If not worn for several days, hand-wind to restart (see Crown Positions).
Crown Positions
The crown will function in three positions:
1. Crown pushed in (wind the movement)
If the watch has stopped, the automatic movement has run out of power. Pull out the crown one step, and wind clockwise 15-20 times. Then push in the crown.
2. Crown pulled out one step (change the date) (for models with the date function)
To change the date, turn the crown clockwise.
Do not adjust the date between 9 pm–3 am. During those hours, the date gears are already in motion to change the date.
3. Crown pulled out two steps (adjust the time)
When the crown is pulled out to its third position, the seconds hand will stop. Rotate the hands to set the time.
We recommend you turn the hands clockwise only for the long-term health of the movement.
Bezel diving timer
Your Dan Henry 1975 Skin Diver is equipped with a unidirectional external bezel that can be turned to measure elapsed time.
Water resistance
Your Dan Henry 1975 is safe to wear while washing hands, swimming, and snorkel diving. Be sure the crown is fully pushed in before wearing your 1975 in water.
